Today I completed a scheduled golf swing speed test. But I must say…before you watch the video…I have a bit of a cold/flu so this may have hampered the results of this golf swing speed test. Anyway, here is a video of the golf swing speed test that I performed today.

OK, so today I averaged 119.2 mph for 10 golf swings. That’s an improvement of 1 mph over my results 4 weeks ago but I didn’t reach my goal as I’d hoped. I did however learn an awful lot from my last 4 week experiment. So for the next 4 weeks I’m going to continue to do speed work and I’m also going to do some exercises like press-ups, squats etc. Not using weights just body weight. It will be interesting to see if that helps me to swing faster.

I am inching towards my goal of averaging 125 mph. Less than 6 mph to go now. It sure would be nice to have a 4 week period where I make some big gains. Hopefully this next 4 weeks will be it but we’ll see.

The Golf Swing Test

You could have one serious swing fault costing you up to 50 yards in distance. But now you can take this swing test and see if you have this swing fault or not: http://www.yourgolfswingtest.com

  1. Hi Nick,
I noticed you achieve your weight over your right knee during your back swing. Your body seems to move quite a bit during down swing so I have to ask the following question. How many driver shots finished on the fairway? How many blocked shots do you hit when trying to max out your swing. I also need you to answer one other question how tall are you and what do you weigh?

  2. Nick, I seem to notice a slight forward press more evident on the higher speed swings. Let me know if you think so. What do you think is the one single factor that has helped you improve?

  3. Hi Roger, I don’t know how many shots ended up in the fairway. I’m hitting balls into a net. Last time I played I was hitting the ball as straight as ever. And I clocked a 125 mph drive when I was doing that. I am 5 feet 11 tall and don’t know my weight sorry.

The one single factor Michael would be to learn to swing faster.

  4. Nick, your five secrets to maximum distance has made such a difference in my game . I feel aggressive at address and not trying to “bunt” the ball around all day. I usually have to lay up on most of the par fours at my club but not any more!!

  5. Hi Alan, I’m glad that ebook has helped you so much. Awesome!

  6. Has you swing speed increase been tested for accuracy in a round of golf?

  7. Hi John, yes I have been on the golf course with my new swing (speed). And my accuracy is just as good as it ever was.

    Thanks.
