  9. Wow! Thanks Nick for the video. Like so many others, I have been struggling to hit the ball cleanly for so long but after a few hours of practice with this drill my ball striking is much, MUCH IMPROVED!!
So once again thank you Nick and I love your website!!

    Cheers, Gary.

  10. Thanks for producing this video Nick. My worst shot is a fat shot due in part I believe to the swaying problem you mentioned. So I will attempt the drill and make a good effort to remain more centered. Thanks once again. Keep up the good work.

  11. You are right Nick! I tried the drill you suggested and after a good hour or two the ball flight on my normal golf shots is so much better. It has power now! I have picked up at least 30 yards in distance. No joke! The other ladies I played with today frequently commented on my great drives. They asked me what I have done to make such a dramatic change. Jokingly I told them I found a secret on the Internet (grin). Eventually after much prodding I gave them your great consistent golf site to take a look for themselves. I will be forever grateful to you Nick for this great advice you have given to me. It has made a world of difference to my golf game and confidence. Thank you!!!

  12. Great vid Nick. Cheers bro.

  13. Hi Nick, what about fairway woods ?would you apply the same advice?
    Thanks Mike

  14. many thanks for your tip on hitting fat shots, cant wait to try it out. Will keep you posted. Many thanks

  15. thanks for your tip on hitting fat shaot it’s great .i gain distance in my iron play.now fat shot is over\
    Thanks lot nick

  16. Oh Nick,

Thanks so much for the in depth reasoning for a fat golf shot. Thinking back on some of my fat shots I can relate to too much weight on the right leg and swaying probably even casting.

For those “older” golfers like myself, I find that I hit most of my fat shots on the back nine and I feel that is because I am getting tired and in order to overcome the feeling of not being able to hit the ball far I sway in order to get more speed.

Another tip (regarding fat shots) for older golfers (as Harvey Penick calls us Seasoned Citizens)is that when you get tired you don’t maintain the correct posture at address and bend over too much and that can cause a fat shot.

  17. Great video! Just one question: How do you square up the clubface if you lead with your hands that much? I have tried and it is difficult.

    Thanks

  18. I tried to see your video, but I am on dail up modem and it comes in very slow and jerky to the point I really couldn’t get much out of
it. Can you give me just pictures like before with your other tips.
I WOULD TRULY LIKE TO SEE THE DRILL SO i COULD WORK ON IT TOO.
lET ME KNOW IF YOU CAN DO THIS FOR ME.

    Thank you, Del

  19. Nice one Nick.
Ive tried it in the garden and it works
    Thanks again ,Dave

  20. Hi Nick, I have the same problem as Del in regard to viewing the Video,
the still pictures would probably convey more Thanks Jack

  21. Del and Jack. If you let the video run through once and then go back and replay the video it should be fine playing through.

Brian, the way you square the clubface up is by having it slightly closed all through out the swing.

Mike McKenna, yes I would apply the same advice to fairway woods.

Good suggestion Charliemack. And to the rest of you…I’m glad you liked the video and are getting great results with it. :-)

  22. Great tip. I have been struggling with my irons to get consistent distance. I believe your tip is the key to improved ball contact. Another problem related to this is poor distance control on approach shots. The ball usually hits the green and then rolls off the other side. I should also be able to control the ball better after it lands on the green by imparting a good amount of backspin. Can’t wait to see if this works for me.
This is an awesome website. Keep up the good work.

    Grace and Peace,
    JRM
