almostGOLF Balls
I bought these almostGOLF practice balls just to hit into my practice net at home. And the reason I wanted these balls is because they said they have the same feel as a real golf ball.
Well they don’t, not exactly anyway. But I suppose…what can you expect from a ball that is 1/4 that weight of a real golf ball.
But they do feel much more like a real golf ball than any other practice golf ball I’ve ever hit. And because of that I would highly recommend them if you’ve got a practice net at home, and you don’t want to run the risk of hitting a real golf ball through the net.
Now just out of interest sake I did take them out to the course to see how they’d perform. And I found they did travel on a similar flight to a real golf ball. But they weren’t really good enough to give you great feedback on the shot you’ve just hit. Not like a real golf ball anyway.
Also because these balls are so much lighter than a real golf ball, if there’s any wind around these balls get taken for a ride. Which doesn’t give you good feedback as to how you’re hitting the ball.
In summary I’d have to say that these almostGOLF practice balls are probably a good ball to take to the park or for young kids to start playing with…simply because they’re easy to hit for kids and no one’s going to get hurt if you’re hitting them at the park.
But apart from that I think their best use is for hitting into a practice golf net. Because they give you a similar feel to hitting a real golf ball and you don’t have to worry about the a real golf ball doing damage to something or someone if it goes through the net (which I’ve done with a real golf ball).
Overall Opinion: Highly Recommended For Practice Net Use
